i have a 1982 ford club wagon XLT, it has a 4.8L. L6 motor, or you could call it an "inline 6". i got it for free, it runs and such, but the guy said it will need a valve overhaul and also i carburetor rebuild. i know were to get a carb rebuild kit, but i dont know what to look for when it comes to the valves. i have tried everywhere online, nobody seems to have what i am looking for. can somebody point me in the right direction? please and thank you!

An automotive machine shop should be able to point you in the correct direction.
The valve seats will need surfacing, the valves themselves either replace or resurface.
Of course the valve guides need replacing.
The lifters either just checked or replaced.
