Frequently Asked Questions...
If you wall mount speakers will the sound travel thourgh the wall?
I want to wall mount some speakers on my wall, But I'm worried that the sound will travel though the wall and be amplified some what causing obsessive noise and vibrations, especially with bass.
The wall is hollow inside and not solid. but I will be used plaster board plug's to mount them safely.
The wall brackets themselves are made from plastic and I was thinking this may damped the sound somewhat.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thank you
The bass port from the speakers will be facing the wall.
Answer:
Bass is not nearly as directional as mid and high frequencies. This being said, any direction you turn your bass port, you will hear it about the same, so I wouldn't worry about that.
As for you walls amplifying the sound, that is about as likely as finding inteligent life on mars. Sound actually takes a lot of energy to make and even more energy to amplify. So unless your walls are oozing with raw, untapped energy, I think you will be safe.
