Frequently Asked Questions...
Does the size of a cable wire affect the picture quality?
I just bought a new cable wire for my television because I needed a longer one, however, I haven't hooked it up yet. It is a slightly thinner cable. I've heard that a thicker cable delivers a better picture. Is this true?
The length of the extension cable is 50 feet; it bridges from a splitter on a cable jack to my Comcast digital cable box.
Answer:
For a run of a few hundred feet, yes the cable thickness will make a difference. For a run of under 10 feet, like in most homes, you are not going to see a difference. For a short run, I would probably have difficulty seeing a difference with actual test equipment!
I hope this helps. Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.
