Intex pool leaking around the filter inlet on the pool?
I own a intex 8' X 30" pool. I first noticed it was losing water a couple weeks ago. Nothing big. But now around the filter inlet (where the hose connects to the pool) it is leaking on BOTH sides. What should I do. I can't take it back.
Answer:
Sounds like your gasket may be damaged. Drain the pool down to the inlet and remove the piece that goes through the side of the pool. There should be a rubber gasket on either the inside or outside of the pool or possibly on both. Inspect these gaskets for damage. If they are damaged or dry rotted, then you should be able to order some replacements from Intex. If there is no visible signs of damage of the gaskets, you can try using gasket sealant compound in conjunction with the gasket.
