DRAMA

A SUBJECT CHOICE

The Drama syllabus involves studying a wide variety of the elements of drama including:

  • Studying a specific text
  • Improvisation
  • Scripted work
  • Stage-craft
  • Written work

There will be elements of external examination in both written work and practical, as well as internally marked assessment.

The course is based around practical work with a theoretical underpinning that requires written skills. During the course, students will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of exciting and varied situations – from local primary schools to performance evenings. It is a requirement of the course that students rehearse and perform outside college hours!

To be successful, students have to be confident, able to work well with others, enjoy performing, but most of all be really hard-working – this is not an easy course!
