English GCSE

 

This course lasts one year, following the AQA English GCSE syllabus. It is an important subject to gain at least a grade C in, as it is an essential requirement for many jobs or college courses.

COURSE CONTENT

For GCSE English at Post-16, you will need to study for two terminal examinations, following the pattern from Year 11. There will also be a coursework requirement and Speaking and Listening assessment.

CAREER PROSPECTS

A good grade in English is a very useful qualification that is often essential to your future. Continued study of literature as required for the Anthology will help you develop further as a person, while expanding your knowledge and understanding.
