Media
This course follows the OCR specification. The advantage of this is that the coursework at both AS and A2 is of a practical nature and you are required to do a Foundation Production at AS and an Advanced Production at A2.
To cope with the written analytical demands of the course you ideally should have a minimum of a grade C in GCSE English.

One of the biggest areas of employment in the UK is in media-related industries. It is a very popular degree subject and most of our students who have followed A-level Media Studies have gone on to study a media-related degree. Some are now working in advertising agencies and with PR companies. Other A levels Media Studies links well with include sociology, psychology, business studies, performing arts and music, English, art and graphic design and communication.
